Our Vision

To function as an advocate in our community concerning Marines and Marine families while improving community awareness on behalf of all Veterans.

We accomplish our vision through:

JROTC Scholarships

If JROTC is your passion, let us help you achieve your educational goals with a scholarship. Scholarship grants are provided to qualified applicants who are pursuing an undergraduate degree, and will be enrolled as a full time student (12 semester hour minimum) in the upcoming academic year and is attending an accredited undergraduate institution. Scholarships may be awarded for a maximum of four (4) years.

The Panhandle Veterans Financial Assistance (PVFA) Program

The PVFA is sponsored by the Roan-Creek Marine Corps League, Detachment 992 and funded by donations from local citizens and business owners who wish to support our countries heroes during their time of need.

Annual  Fundraisers

We participate and support our Marines, their families and our communities with our events.

Our detachment is named in honor of two Texas Panhandle Marines that exemplified the ideals and principles of the United States Marine Corps in both word and deed.
